Privacy Policy

Last updated: 15 October 2026

Medin Marketing (“we”, “us”, “our”) respects your privacy. This policy explains what personal information we collect through medinmarketing.com, why we collect it, how we protect it, and the rights you have over it. We handle personal data in line with the Kenya Data Protection Act, 2019 and its regulations.

Who we are

Medin Marketing is a holistic marketing firm based in Kenya. For anything related to this policy or your personal data, contact us at info@medinmarketing.com.

Information we collect

We only collect the information we need to respond to you and to work with you:

  • Contact form: your name, email address, company or brand name, and the message you write to us.
  • Emails and calls: any details you share when you email us, book a consultation or speak with us.
  • Client projects: business information you give us during a project, such as brand guidelines, product details and access to your tools. This is covered by our client agreement.
  • Technical data: like most websites, our hosting provider automatically records basic technical information such as your IP address, browser type and the pages you visit. This is used to keep the website secure and working.

How we use your information

  • To reply to your enquiry and arrange a consultation call.
  • To prepare proposals and deliver the services you agree to.
  • To keep our website secure and prevent spam and abuse.
  • To meet our legal, accounting and tax obligations.

We do not sell, rent or trade your personal information. We will not add you to a marketing mailing list unless you ask to join it, and you can unsubscribe at any time.

Our lawful basis

We process your data because you have given us consent (for example, by submitting the contact form), because it is necessary to enter into or perform a contract with you, because we have a legal obligation, or because we have a legitimate interest in running and protecting our business in a way that does not override your rights.

Cookies

Our website does not use advertising or tracking cookies. WordPress, the platform the site runs on, sets a small number of essential cookies only when someone logs in to manage the website. If we add analytics or similar tools in the future, we will update this policy and, where required, ask for your consent first.

Who we share your information with

We share personal information only when necessary, and only with:

  • Service providers who help us run our business, such as our website and email host (Hostinger). They may only use your data to provide their service to us.
  • Creative partners (writers, editors, designers, videographers) working on your project, where you are a client and the work requires it. They are bound by confidentiality.
  • Authorities where the law requires us to.

Links to other websites

Our website links to our social media pages (Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, X, LinkedIn, YouTube, Pinterest and Reddit). When you visit those platforms, their own privacy policies apply.

Transfers outside Kenya

Our hosting and email providers may store data on servers outside Kenya. Where this happens, we use providers that apply appropriate safeguards to protect your information, as required by the Data Protection Act.

How long we keep your information

We keep enquiries for up to 24 months so we can follow up and refer back to our conversation. If you become a client, we keep project and billing records for as long as our agreement lasts and afterwards for as long as the law requires. When we no longer need your information, we delete it securely.

How we protect your information

Our website uses an encrypted (HTTPS) connection, access to our systems is limited to the people who need it, and we keep our software up to date. No method of transmission over the internet is completely secure, but we take reasonable steps to protect your data.

Your rights

Under the Kenya Data Protection Act, 2019, you have the right to:

  • Be informed about how your personal data is used.
  • Access the personal data we hold about you.
  • Ask us to correct data that is inaccurate or incomplete.
  • Ask us to delete data that is false, misleading or no longer needed.
  • Object to the processing of your data.
  • Receive your data in a portable format.
  • Withdraw your consent at any time.

To use any of these rights, email info@medinmarketing.com. We will respond as soon as possible and within the time the law allows. If you are not satisfied with our response, you can complain to the Office of the Data Protection Commissioner at www.odpc.go.ke.

Children

Our services are for businesses. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18. If you believe a child has sent us their details, contact us and we will delete them.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. The “Last updated” date at the top shows when it was last changed.
